What is the darkest legal car tint?
The shade of a tint film is determined by the percentage of light permitted to enter the window called VLT or Visible Light Transference.
Lower percentages of VLT lets less light enter the window and results in a dark film.
Make sure you check your state laws regarding legal tint limits.
For example, in Queensland, the darkest legal shade of tint for private vehicles is:
Front-facing windows: Must be greater than 35%.
Rear windows: Must be greater than 20% VLT.
Front windscreen: It is illegal to fully tint front windscreen. However, a tint strip can be applied to the upper 10% of the windscreen

Window tint is made of a tough, durable film that is nearly impenetrable. It is nearly impossible to break through window films, reducing the risk of theft and break-ins as well as providing increased safety from broken glass.
What is Security or Safety Film?
Security film turns standard glass into glass that is able to endure repeated high impact.
Security films are typically composed of multiple sheets of film made of polyester, which provides a high-tensile barrier when it is applied to glass.
It does this by holding the broken glass pieces after the glass has been broken due to high impact.
The goal of the film isn’t to protect the glass rather to protect break-ins from intruders or glass falling into the building when it breaks.
Can anyone install window film?

How long does it take for window tint to dry (cure)
The weather and season will affect how long long your newly applied window tint will take to dry. In the summer, your window tint film will cure (or dry) faster thanks to the sun. This usually takes two to four days. However, if applied in cooler temperatures, the window tint could not fully dry for three to four weeks.

How do I care for and clean my windows once window tint has been applied?
To care for and clean windows with window tinting, you should use a gentle cleaner. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or items such as razor blades, as these can damage the tint. To clean the windows, mix a solution of warm water and a mild detergent, and use a soft cloth or sponge to apply the mixture. Rinse off the cleaner with another cloth dampened with clean water. Dry the windows with a lint-free cloth to avoid any streaking. For more stubborn stains, you can use a diluted solution of isopropyl alcohol or white vinegar. Avoid using ammonia-based cleaners (usually characterised by blue liquid), as these can cause the tint to fade.
